A portal notification is an alert that is visible and manageable in the portal. When a notification occurs the icon animates in the top right corner of the screen.
The number in red shows the number of unread notifications. Clicking on the icon displays the list of notifications.
This shows all notifications you have chosen to receive. Unread notifications are shown in bold.
Currently the following notifications can be generated:
- SIM Data Alert. This can be generated when a SIM exceeds its Data Alert level. The ICCID of the SIM is shown. Clicking on a notification will display the SIM Details for that SIM.
- SIM Data Cap. This can be generated when a SIM exceeds its Data Cap level. The ICCID of the SIM is shown. Clicking on a notification will display the SIM Details for that SIM.
Clicking 'Mark all as read' will mark all notifications as being read. Clicking clears the notification and permanently removes it from your list. Clicking 'Clear all' clears all the notifications.
Note that notifications are on a per-user basis. I.e. if you mark a notification as read it only marks it as read for you, and not any other users. Similarly, if you clear a notification it's only cleared from your display.
Clicking on 'Settings' displays the Notifications area in your user profile. From here you can decide from which accounts you wish to receive notifications. For more information see How do I edit my email and portal notification settings?
Note: Portal notifications is a trial feature that may be modified or removed depending on usage.
