What is an IPSec VPN?

Follow

An IPSec VPN is a Firewall to Firewall based permanent connection that can be used to establish 2-way communications.

A secure Internet connection is established directly between a firewall within the Arkessa infrastructure and a firewall within the corporate network. Both firewalls at each end are configured to allow legitimate traffic to pass between the two networks, creating a secure network between the two domains.

This solution enables multiple users and servers to be connected to the remote network simultaneously. Multiple networks can then be connected and managed from corporate servers.

In most cases, an IPSec VPN is more cost effective than an SSL VPN for large-scale projects.

If you would like further information regarding an IPSec VPN please contact your Account Manager or Submit a Request to Arkessa Customer Services.
